Abstract

Influence of amplitude-modulated voltage on power parameters of static thyristor compensator of reactive power with an earthed neutral is investigated at symmetric or asymmetrical control of thyristors of bithyristors keys. Factors which allow to optimize operating modes of the compensator and to increase its economic efficiency as source of reactive power are determined.
