Abstract

The paper considers the survey of Soviet, Ukrainian, as well as part of foreign publications, devoted to the problem of wind power usage; proceeding from the analysis carried out, main spheres of wind motors with vertical and horizontal rotation axles of their rotors are determined, main spheres of synchronous and asynchronous machines application as generators of wind power plants are determined.
