Abstract

Experimental comparison of performances of biodisels and diesel fuel, economic and ecological parameters of swirl-chamber diesel engine operated on given fuels is performed. Series of biodiesel fuels by economic parameter exceed efficacy of diesel fuel. The basic defect of the tested fuels is low flash point that does not meet foreign standards for the biodiesel. It is recommended to reduce the content of methanol in the biodiesel.
