Abstract

Тhe results of the monitoring of radionuclide contamination of soils and plants of the western part of Shatsk National Natural Park (ShNNP, Volyn region, Ukraine) territory performed during 1994-2005 are presented. Based on the experimental results, the map of 137Cs density contamination of soils at the investigated territory has been constructed. The investigation of 137Cs vertical distribution profiles in different kinds of soils of the park and the forecasting of its distribution changes on the depth up to 50 cm for the soil of the Park for the next 100 years have been performed.
