Abstract

The article discusses the factors influencing the construction of road junctions, and software for design. It is important to remember that for road traffic a necessary component is the safety of movement, therefore all the components that are given in the article and the elements of the traffic intersection of the required section must comply with the general requirements. Today, the requirements for building technological solutions are constantly changing. First of all, this is facilitated by the constructive development of vehicles and, in accordance with this, the change in driving modes. The design of transport interchanges is quite difficult, since it is also necessary to take into account the intensive growth rates of the number of cars on the roads of our country. Traffic safety is a key issue in the design of a traffic intersection, therefore, all design work must be carried out in strict compliance with regulatory documents. The key factors that must be taken into account when designing a traffic intersection are: the speed of vehicles on adjoining roads and at ramps; the width of the lanes for traffic and their number; the presence of slopes; bandwidth is needed to meet local needs. It is also important to pay great attention to the quality of the project, and in the future, to the construction of a transport interchange. There are a large number of examples showing that non-compliance with the requirements of technical documentation and the quality of construction work leads to a decrease in the period of maintenance-free use of a structure. According to the generally accepted methodology for designing a traffic intersection, it includes the following steps: selection of the basis for the type of intersections of transport routes; design and development of a traffic scheme, preparation of technical documentation; calculation of the technical parameters of the intersection of transport routes design of auxiliary structures (drainage unit, lighting) design of profiles. Today there is a large number of software that allows you to perform the necessary calculations and build traffic interchange schemes. The most famous programs are: IndorCAD, AutoCad, MXROAD.
