Usage of dimensional analysis for defining minimal intermediate machining allowance in the openings of base members

Procedure is suggested for using dimensional analysis of manufacturing processes for finding the value of possible opening axis displacement in the base member workpiece relative to finish technological bases. This procedure enables high degree of formalization in taking into account both inaccuracies of initial workpiece manufacture and errors of the previous machining operations. This reduces the risk of errors made at the design stage of technological process of machining the base members with complex shape. The procedure can be used for the analysis of existing and designing of new machining processes at machine-building enterprises and in the educational process.References
